Rowan Cottage is at 'The Lotts' which is a short drive north from Port Ellen or a short drive east from the island's airport at Glenegedale.

Directions from the Airport (Glenegedale)

Turn right towards port Ellen take first left and go up the hill to the high road. Turn right at the T junction go down the hill past the phone box on left and just at the brow of the hill Rowan Cottage is on your left.

Directions from Port Ellen

Leave the port and take the road round to the left through the high street, carry on for half a mile until you reach a sharp left hand turn, at this turn you take the road opposite. Follow this road for about 2.5 miles and Rowan Cottage is on your right hand side.

Directions from Port Askaig

Head towards Bowmore. After travelling through Bridgend take the next left fork in the road signposted to Port Ellen. After 6 miles pass Buildbase on right, pass telephone box and at the brow of the hill stands Rowan Cottage on the left.

Road numbers are rarely used on the island, so asking someone if you're on the A846 may cause confusion, it is easier to simply ask if you're on the right road for 'The Lotts at Glenegedale'.
